Jason Morphew always crashed his car off the mountaintop where he was about to get married in thirty minutes—down into the winery parking lot where guests were arriving. His suit, several musical instruments, and a generator filled with gasoline were inside. The ceremony came off without a hitch and two children later crashed into view.

Morphew's first book of poems, dead boy, is forthcoming from Spuyten Duyvil in December, 2017. As a singer/songwriter he's released albums on the labels Brassland, Ba Da Bing!, Max!, and Unread. He holds a PhD in English Renaissance Literature from UCLA, where he teaches.
